MAKING TABLES MOVE AROUND

LESSON #11b

Now, let's make the table like we have below:

It is all the way over to the left, how do we center it in the column or even in the middle of the page like this?

Click inside either of the columns until your cursor is blinking in it.

Now simply click:
Table Center Table

If you decide you don't like this click:
Table Uncenter Table

Couldn't be more simple than that could it?

But there is one more alignment we need to look at. With it you can do interesting things. In the toolbar of AOLPRESS click:

Table

Now look down near the bottom and find this:

Click Align Cell and get this:

That gives us a choice of Top...Middle and Bottom.

To change these in any cell simply click in that cell until your cursor is blinking in it and click:

Table Align Cell

Then choose one.

These can be useful but normally should always be set to TOP. But let's see what they do:

In the example below has the left column set to MIDDLE and the right column set to TOP

In the example below has the left column set to BOTTOM and the right column set to TOP

Don't forget to save your webpage...
File > Save As > Make sure location is right and then click the button.
